Located in the heart of Richmond, Vancouver, Tea Industries is a bubble tea shop that differentiates itself through a fully automated service model. Unlike traditional tea shops, Tea Industries integrates robotics into its operations. From intelligent ordering to robot-assisted drink preparation, the brand delivers a seamless, unmanned customer experience.
By combining technology with everyday consumption, Tea Industries explores how automation can enhance convenience while delivering a futuristic retail experience.
Approach
In developing the logo, I sought to articulate a distinct and recognizable sense of technology that directly reflects the brand’s automated service model. Rather than approaching “tech” as a vague aesthetic, I explored visual references from machinery and robotics, such as robotic arms, mechanical structures, and modular components.
Identity
The final logo merges a robotic head with the silhouette of a bubble tea cup, unifying technology and product into a single, cohesive mark. The robotic head reflects the brand’s automated model, while the cup form grounds the mark in the beverage category.
Rounded geometry softens the technical form while the structured composition ensures clarity and scalability. A deep blue palette enhances the technological character of the brand, and the use of uppercase sans-serif typography further reinforces a modern, forward-looking identity.
Through this process, I translated the brand’s operational innovation into a visual language that feels purposeful rather than decorative.
